AECS to offer new Lego Robotics - Early Elementary Program for Fall '09
AECS will be offering a new Lego Robotics program for early elementary students in the Fall of 2009. Students in grades 2 & 3 will explore the concept of robotics by using the Lego We-Do Robotics kits. Themes such as Amazing Mechanisms, Adventure stories, Wild Animals and Play Soccer, will have students design and create a number of robotics models that integrate motors, tilt sensors and motion sensors. They will also learn the routines to program each of their creations to perform various tasks. This actiivity will serve and as early introduction to later Lego Robotics programs that will be available to them in 4th, 5th and 6th grade.
